The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Program Manager, Blood Donor Engagement leads relationship‑driven marketing and communications efforts to advance the institution’s blood donor recruitment and engagement goals. This role leads a cross‑functional Blood Bank Marketing and Communications team representing eight departments to ensure timely, coordinated implementation of outreach tactics. Serving as the Institutional Affairs liaison for Blood Bank leadership, the Program Manager provides a single point of contact to address communications needs, manage issues and risks, and elevate matters as appropriate. The position develops and drives a comprehensive blood donor engagement strategy, oversees marketing and communications planning, and provides strategic recommendations to support recruitment goals. The Program Manager strengthens partnerships across departments conducting outreach activities, ensures consistent use of MD Anderson’s brand voice and English and Spanish editorial standards, and manages coordinated institutional communications during critical blood shortages. This role directly supports lifesaving patient care.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public health, business, or related field.
Experience: Experience in program or project management with emphasis on marketing and communications; healthcare or blood banking experience preferred.
