Stanford Blood Center
Palo Alto, CA
At Stanford Blood Center (SBC), how we treat our people is just as important as the life-saving work we do. We’re looking for an HR Director who shares that belief β and brings the experience, courage, and heart to help us live it every day. This is a strategic partnership. You’ll work closely with our VP and senior leadership to advance SBC’s people agenda, navigate a mission-driven organization within a large health system, and be a trusted resource for managers and staff alike. You bring the same resourcefulness to HR that SBC brings to its mission: finding a way forward. What we’re looking for: Β A leader with presence and warmth in equal measure β someone people at every level feel comfortable approaching. A strategic thinker who brings an HR lens to organizational conversations, not just day-to-day problem solving. Someone who has navigated tough situations and comes out with relationships and trust intact. Solid experience with California employment law and labor/union relations. Background in high-volume, people-intensive environments: healthcare, retail, or similar. Ten to 15 years of progressive HR experience with a track record of follow-through. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field. Β Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience with increasing responsibility. We’re a close-knit team doing work that saves lives. If you’re energized by meaningful work and want an HR role where you can make a genuine difference, we’d love to hear from you.
