America’s Blood Centers (ABC) and Vanderbilt University have collaborated to create the Executive Fellows Program, a groundbreaking leadership initiative for the blood community. The program offers a unique cohort experience, immersing participants in a year-long journey dedicated to enhancing executive skills and fostering a growth mindset.

Program Components

Leadership Residency

A week long immersion at Vanderbilt University featuring a variety of internationally recognized faculty, blood community-specific case studies, cohort networking, and more.

In-Person Learning Immersions

Three in-person learning immersions will supplement the Leadership Residency and be led by nationally recognized faculty.

Virtual Learning Sessions

Live, virtual learning sessions led by Vanderbilt faculty are designed to maintain continuity and engagement among executives throughout the learning journey.

Executive Coaching

Each participant will have access to an executive coach to help refine their leadership skills, with tailored feedback and actionable goals, to ensure continuous professional growth.

Capstone Project

Participants will work in teams within their cohort on a capstone project, showcasing their insights and solutions before their blood community peers at the ABC Annual Meeting.

360 Leadership Assessment

Participants will complete a leadership development assessment to provide an in-depth look at their performance capabilities, challenges, and core drivers.

Participants can expect a diverse range of opportunities, including stand-alone and joint events with ABC meetings, virtual gatherings, collaborative group projects, and in-depth case studies, culminating in a capstone project. Individuals benefit from access to highly skilled and credentialed coaches for personalized one-on-one sessions, undergo a comprehensive 360 Leadership Assessment, receive mentorship from renowned experts, and enjoy the support of university affiliation and a dedicated external facilitator to guide them through the program.
