State legislatures continue to see significant activity this session on bills related to directed and autologous donations, as well as proposals requiring blood labeling based on donor vaccination status. To date, 16 bills have been introduced on these topics, with three carryover bills from last year (IL HB 1105, PA SB 957, and SC H 3119). ABC is also tracking one patient informed consent‑consent bill (AZ HB 2247), one bill proposing a separate COVID vaccine free blood bank (OK HB 3196), and two donor vaccination status labeling bills (SD HB 1171 and TN SB 0828).
