The Mission
The FABC believes that no one should die for lack of access to a safe and adequate blood supply. Our mission is to fund initiatives that improve the availability, quality and safety of blood and related products to save, extend, or enhance the lives of patients.
Our Stakeholders
The FABC's first responsibility is to the patients, their loved ones, and the health care providers who depend on access to a safe and adequate blood supply, as well as to the blood donors who give their time and support. Other stakeholders include those who support and believe in the FABC's mission, including:
• America's Blood Centers and its members
• Affinity organizations and patient advocacy groups
• Our financial contributors
Our Values
The FABC's values include:
• Compassion for those dealing with medical challenges
• Respect for those who donate blood, platelets, plasma, bone marrow, and other related products
• Integrity in all we do
• Accountability to our supporters, stakeholders, and to one another
• Operational Excellence - constantly seeking to improve the donor experience and recipient outcomes
• Leadership beyond the geographic borders in which our ABC members conduct business
