America’s Blood Center’s has published the March 2022 edition of the Blood Bulletin, titled “Blood Shortages — How Hospitals Can Help.” This issue of Blood Bulletin discusses: how the COVID-19 pandemic has worsened chronic issues with nationwide blood shortages; the importance of blood donation being encouraged and actively supported; the need for transfusion service laboratories to have standard operating procedures (SOPs) for management of blood component shortages.”
